CHÂTEAU DE LAMARQUE ~ VINTAGE 2025

MARKUS DEL MONEGO MW - 93 POINTS

93 points – « Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Concentrated and aromatic nose with distinct oak influence, fine toasting, dark chocolate backed by ripe dark berries and juicy plums. Hints of sloe in the background. On the palate rich and concentrated with firm yet ripe tannins, ripe fruit and elegant tasting, very good length. ».

 JAMES SUCKLING - 93-94 POINTS

93-94 points – « A precise and focused wine that is impressive for the appellation, with blackberries, black currants and a hint of graphite on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied. Fine tannins at the end » – April 25th 2026

JEAN MARC QUARIN - 91 points

« Black color with purple highlights. Intense nose, with well-ripened fruit. Delicate on the entry, flavorful in the mid-palate, with a plump body and black fruit flavors; the wine bounces on the finish. It stretches long on a nuanced tannin texture. It’s very good! » Blend: 50%, Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Petit Verdot (a record). Alcohol content: 14°19 - pH: 3.50 - IPT: 70 - Yield: 38 hl/ha - Harvest: September 9 to 25 - Aging potential: 2037–2080

PETER MOSER FOR FALSFLAT - 91 points

“Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, delicate rim brightening. Delicate roasted aromas, some nougat, dark berry fruit, a hint of plums and herbs. Medium body, red berry texture, subtle tannins, mineral, an uncomplicated companion at the table.”

WEINHANDEL by Christian Balog - 91 -92 points

"50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Petit Verdot. The nose is dark-fruited with a delicate chocolate touch and a hint of licorice. Powerful on the palate, what is striking is that the wine is often somewhat rougher or more austere on the palate. The tannins are finer and more polished than usual, which is quite remarkable given the proportion of Petit Verdot. A harmonious wine, with a medium-powerful body and a lingering finish."

JANE ANSON – 93 points

JANCIS ROBINSON – 16 points / 92 points

DECANTER - 90 POINTS

COLIN HAY - THE DRINKS BUSINESS - 89-91 pointS

« Creamy, quite rich and yet classy, elegant and polished, with the dark berry and cherry fruits predominating aromatically, but with fresher red berry fruits coming through more on the palate itself. Tense and well-structured, this should age gracefully, even if the tannins are a little drying on the finish. »  - 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Petit Verdot; a final yield of 38 hl/ha; 14% ABV; tasted at the UGCB press tasting at the Cité du Vin).
