Chateau de Lamarque ~ VINTAGE 2010
Neal MARTIN (GB) ~ 90 - 92 points
The Chateau de Lamarque 2010 has a rich bouquet with just a touch of plum and tinned prune, although not as evident as on other crus. The palate is full-bodied with dense, firm, dry tannins; a touch of black pepper and a broody finish. I think this will blossom after bottling so expect this mark to increase. Everything is here... Tasted April 2011.

"Red and black berry fruits on the nose. Merlot roundness and Cabernet firmness blend perfectly together with added richness, spice and grip from the Petit Verdot. Still firm on the palate, very Haut-Médoc with ripeness and structure, tannins and terroir in balance for a fine future. " - Drink 2016-26

ANDREAS LARSSON & MARKUS DEL MONEGO - best sommeliers of the worldAndreas Larsson - December 2012 - Dense, ruby red, the nose is slightly on the rustic side with some animal notes, leather and crushed berries, the palate is quite full with high acidity, young tannin, plum and blackcurrant notes, some animal/leathery tones, somewhat rustic, good length.
Markus Del Monego - December 2012 - Dark, purple red with violet hue and almost black centre. Well concentrated aromatic expression, ripe fruit and mild spices, almost balmy notes. On the palate juicy and well balanced with rather good length and quite complex notes in the finish. |
